Gatehouse Security Officer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Gatehouse / Warehouse Security Officer to join Kingdom Services Group Ltd, working at a distribution site in Wigan, WN5 area.

Shift: On average 42 hours per week. 4 On 4 Off Night shifts as per site rota. 18:30 pm - 06:30 am.

Pay rate: £11.90 per hour

Position - Skill Base Requirements

A valid SIA licence & own transport preferred
A full five year checkable employment history
Excellent customer service skills
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
Surveillance skills
Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal
Have a good level of judgement professionalism
IT skills

How to Achieve Success:

Introduce yourself at the start of a new shift - Have a "can do" attitude and accept reasonable instruction - Smile, acknowledge, say hello, use eye contact & engage during shift - Cultivate a good team working relationship (inc local police) - Wear appropriate contract uniform - ID Card & SIA License - Are you proud of how you look today / promoting professionalism? - Be knowledgeable.

Asset protection (Stock, Property, People)

How to Achieve Success:

Be aware of location layout - High profile visual patrols - Being observant & vigilant - Be aware of hot spots and identify areas of concern - Deter persons with intent to commit a criminal act, play your part in providing a safe work environment and reducing any loss.

Safe & Secure

How to Achieve Success:

Book on/off and make safety calls at an agreed frequency - Be aware of life safety systems & safe to work procedures e.g. alarms, first aid, fire doors clear, react and support swiftly - Make safe, calm and controlled decisions - Record & escalate appropriately.

Assignment Instructions (AIs)

How to Achieve Success:

Content awareness including, breaks & welfare, personal mobile phone & headset use, smoking policy, risk assessment & crisis management.

General Responsibilities

Access & egress control - CCTV monitoring - Key control - Site patrols, checks & lockdowns - Equipment use and maintenance - Maintain a daily log book - Arrest & Search (must be aware of policies) - Administration
