Job description:As the Deputy Manager you will be responsible for supporting the Registered Manager with the overall management of the service.
You will ensure the highest quality of service is provided for Service Users through their person-centred care plans and that all staff are encouraged and supported to achieve and exceed their full potential.
Ensure that all staff under your supervision have the right leadership, effective and efficient organisation, support, training and preparation to carry out their work effectively.

Ensure that all staff under your supervision contribute to providing a safe, well-structured environment in which Service Users are treated respectfully, decently and holistically.
To plan, implement and evaluate appropriate nursing interventions for Service Users.
To provide ongoing monitoring of care and service provision.
To actively participate in clinical team meetings and other multi-disciplinary team meetings
To ensure a high standard of nursing in the application of clinical nursing procedures and treatment, in accordance with the clinical governance and clinical effectiveness.

This role could be for you if you have:
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within mental health environment desirable.
  • ǪCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Clinical experience, you’ll need be a Registered Nurse (RMN or RGN) with current NMC registration.
  • Demonstrable values and a commitment to leading and supporting a diverse team of staff.
  • Knowledge of health and safety matters in relation to hospital care services and risk management
  • The ability to develop and maintain a safe, harmonious environment for staff and residents.
  • Experience in building positive working relationships with patients, their families, staff and other health and social care professionals.
