We have Resourcing teams in each of our IHC teams. Reporting into each Associate Director of People Service, the Resourcing team provides Recruitment, Temporary staffing and Rostering support.
Our Resourcing teams will work closely with recruiting managers across the Health Board and also our NHS Wales Shared Service Partnership who provides transactional recruitment and payroll support.
Main duties of the job
Identify mandatory, statutory and other training requirements for all bank staff ensuring that bank staff have access to the required training to fulfil the requirements of their role.
Coordinate the booking of mandatory & statutory training & updates for bank staff Trust Induction; Manual Handling; Basic Life Support, Immediate Life Support; Child Protection; Fire lectures; POVA/Mental Capacity and other speciality specific training such as Care & Restraint training for Mental Health Staff
Coordinate booking of training in a timely manner so that new bank staff are available to work within agreed recruitment timescales.
Ensure bank staff are informed of venue, time and date of training sessions by letter or email; enclosing claim forms, travel and time sheets etc and process returned documents.
Liaise with relevant training department of names and numbers of bank staff attending, ensuring details of staff subsequently unable to attend also communicated.
Coordinate the required Shadow Shifts for new bank staff; book shifts with Ward Sister and recording the name of the allocated mentor/preceptor. Arrange distribution of Shadow Shift performance assessment forms for completion and return during shift.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
