Newnham, United Kingdom Camphill Village Trust Full time

We are delighted to advertise the opportunity to become a Multi-Skilled Operative at Camphill Village Trust.

As a national charity and not-for-profit organisation, Camphill Village Trust (CVT) has for almost 70 years been providing a range of care, support and accommodation for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health challenges and complex needs.  We support around 550 adults in nine communities and through Day Opportunities across England.

Our aim is to empower people with disabilities to lead more connected, fulfilled lives with meaning and purpose. We call this ‘a life of opportunity’ and we believe that, with the right support, it is possible for everyone. Our approach is to provide Social Farms, Gardens and Craft opportunities utilising our natural environment and creating sustainable communities.

Camphill Village Trust has a truly unique rural and urban estate, with over 350 properties. The stock features artisan Stiener-design homes and buildings, through to listed period properties, former country estates, farmhouses and farm buildings. The quality of people’s home environment makes a difference to their wellbeing and we have a rolling programme to refresh and refurbish the homes of the people we support.

We are on an exciting journey to develop an Estates Directorate for the first time in the Trust’s 70 years. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of developing and delivering a professional in-house repairs & maintenance service.  You will be based on-site to deliver repairs and maintenance across the range of properties as part of the Property and Land Service team ‘PALS’

The following provides information and detail about the role, our locations and the type of person we’re looking for. If this sounds exciting to you and you have the passion, experience and skills to help us achieve our ambitious vision, we’d love to hear from you.

We look forward to meeting you.

Yours sincerely

Also, nearby in Lydney we have Taurus Crafts. Taurus Crafts is one of the Charity’s service centres providing a range of education, retail and hospitality opportunities. It has become a popular visitors’ centre in the Forest of Dean.
