Hi, my name is Debbie Lewis, I am the Clinical Nurse Specialist here at The Beacon. The Beacon is a new community treatment Hub for Young people - years who are experiencing an eating disorder. We know that collaborative care with young people and their families is a key part of recovery which is why our programme and approach is designed to work in partnership with families therefore the Nursing Associate will be supported to work with this at the forefront of their mind.
You will work alongside a Dietician, Chef, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Nurses, Assistant Psychologists and Teachers, Occupational Therapists which will provide opportunity for learning and development in your career.
We will provide Supervision, reflective practice, training, and opportunities for professional development. We are passionate about improving standards and service user/carer experiences.

Nursing associates within the Beacon team will be a key role in all aspects of the young person and the family’s care. The role is well suited to Nursing Associates who are passionate about young people remaining the community, living with their parents and providing support for young people and their families to take steps to recovery.
You will work as part of the specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder team to provide interventions, physical monitoring, and co-ordination of care for young people presenting with eating disorders and their families. You will intensively support families, children and young people within the Family Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa Model (FT-AN)
This role will initially be based at our Ida Darwin site in Fulbourn before relocating in approx. months.
