Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications and providing excellent customer service.

Main duties of the job

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

To be responsible for the technical management of medication supply and to be involved in the delivery of pharmaceutical care to all patients within the Trust through the provision of a safe & effective dispensing and distribution service whilst facilitating prompt discharges.

As a Band 5 Technician you will be expected to cover leadership responsibilities and participate in general dispensing and Core Band 5 checking duties.

To supervise the work of pharmacy technicians undergoing post qualification training.

Accuracy checking of medications that have previously been clinically checked by a qualified pharmacist in accordance with department policy.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Qualifications

Essential

Professional Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the principles and practice for pharmacy technicians or equivalent BTEC Professional Diploma in Dispensing Checking or equivalent

Experience

Accredited Technician Checker minimum one years experience
