Belcan have joined forces with a leading engineering and maintenance provider who are looking to add to their workforce with an exciting opportunity for an Piping engineer to join their Aberdeen site on a full time, permanent basis.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The Piping Project Engineer is responsible for providing professional, competent piping/mechanical engineering support, guidance and advice to offshore projects. Piping Project Engineer will assist with engineering and delivery of Maintenance, Modifications and Operations (MMO) and Door Maintenance scopes of work.

The Project Engineer has specific responsibilities for the following;

* Capable of reading and understanding client P&ID drawings/Line Specs, and Piping Classes

Provide client with piping schematics as part of a project workpack

* Develop detailed workpacks for project, including all material take off sheets, labour resources and work instructions

* Act as Job Responsible Engineer for offshore project execution

* Identify project delivery plan including identification and mitigation for potential project risks

* Develop and process project CTR for approval by client and raise PO in SAP

* Offshore survival and medical certifications

* Ensure projects follow standard gate decision process, ie Appraise, Select, Define, Execute, Operate

* Liaise with sub-contractors, eg engineering consultancies, piping surveyors, engineering fabricators, etc

* Provide technical support to project engineers for client shutdown/TAR outages, attend planning meetings when required.

* Preparation of comprehensive project work packs, including method statements, resources and material requirements

Experience & Qualifications

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role

* Good working knowledge of P&ID's, Isometric Drawings and Piping Classes

* Experience of offshore construction and managing multi-discipline teams

* BOSIET, MIST, Offshore Medical, Piping Systems, ie Pressure System vessels, valves, hangers, etc

* Good working knowledge of requirements for Confined Space Entry, LOLER.

* Able to travel to remote sites and locations

* Relevant qualification to a minimum level of HND or equivalent.
