Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paediatric Senior Sister for Paediatric Outpatients working alongside our friendly and dynamic multi-disciplinary team members.

The post holder will be predominately based in The Cove Children's Clinic at the James Paget University Hospital but will also be required to have an oversight and provide support to community paediatric clinics currently based at The Newberry Child Development Centre in Gorleston.

The time spent within the areas will be modified to the service need.

The post holder will be offered a period of training and supervision alongside the current post holder to ensure smooth transition of service.

Main duties of the job

Main responsibilities include: Acting as a visible leader ensuring the smooth day to day running of paediatric clinics within the departments. Managing teams including rosters, sickness, appraisals and effectively challenging where appropriate. Leading on service development and embedding changes into practice to aid improvement.

Adhering to NMC and Trust guidelines, policies and procedures. Ensuring practice is relevant and evidence based.

Working alongside all members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a family-centred and holistic approach is taken for all patients pathways.

Complete audits and data collection to ensure patient safety and experience is paramount.
