Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst - 6mth Fixed Term Contract

Warner Hotels specialises in short UK breaks designed exclusively for adults. Within the portfolio, there are 16 hotels including rural country houses and castles as well as coastal hideaways, all a stone’s throw from some of the country’s best-loved beauty spots. This is no off-the-shelf hotel chain. We offer Grade I & II listed manor hotels through to picturesque villages by the sea. With every stay, Warner Hotels breaks include three-course evening dining with plenty of choice, variety of activities throughout the day and for the evening’s entertainment, electric performances from bands, vocalists, and comics as well as west end style shows and late-night DJs.

As part of the Warner Finance team, you will work closely with all areas of Finance and the wider business within the financial planning & analysis team. The role is responsible for supporting the management of the Commercial Forecast – from reviewing/challenging gross tariff targets through to the amount we spend on marketing – including expected returns. In addition, the role will manage the cost aspects of Warner’s significant capital investment programme.

What will you be doing?

Providing analytical support to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of Budget, Forecast and Risk & Opportunities across the following areas:

Marketing

.  Supporting month end accounting for Marketing – including the administration and coordination of marketing teams POs/Invoices to ensure correct accounting
• Accounting for, and management of, Marketing Prepayment
• Carrying out detailed forecast reviews, liaising and coordinating with marketing teams
• Providing ad hoc analytical support to ensure data based decision making is made

Revenue Management (including)

• Providing general support for reporting, tracking and management of outcomes
• Reconciliation of guest arrival KPIs, and trading information
• Liaising between Revenue Management and Ops Finance teams to ensure alignment for Budget, Forecast and R&O loads/numbers

Weekly Reporting

• Weekly arrivals reporting, reconciliation and analysis feeding into Leadership Team reporting
• Carrying out weekly analysis of out turn

Monthly Reporting

• Delivering commercial/trading information for the month end Board packs
• Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of arrival statistics into USALI and other P&L reporting
• Delivering monthly ancillary and entertainments analysis and reporting

What are we looking for?

You will have an analytical mindset, be an effective communicator and have the ability to multitask and ensure deadlines are met to a high standard. You will be able to demonstrate a commercial mindset with experience of managing large and complex data sets. You will be a part-qualified accountant, with the ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
