Toolmaker

Mon-Thurs 8:00-16:30, Fri 8:00-13:00

The role would suit applicants from a Toolmaking background that have experience working in a manufacturing environment. Candidates that have previous experience in developing components for plant equipment and machinery will have a considerable advantage, but all candidates with Toolmaking experience should apply.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining and developing plant and equipment and improving line/machine performance. As part of this you will create CAD drawings for machine components, use a 3D printer or machining to manufacture machine tool components. You will also liaise with other departments such as stores and maintenance to ensure sufficient stock of spare components or to take specifications for specific parts needed. You will also be responsible for installation and commissioning of equipment’s and assist with implementation of new techniques.

Toolmaker Role:
*Maintain and Develop Equipment and Plant
*Create CAD Drawings
*Use a 3D Printer
*Manufacture Machine Tool components for breakdown repair or stores replenishment
*Participate in efficiency improvement initiatives
*Installation and Commissioning Equipment

The Toolmaker:
*Previous Experience in a Toolmaker role, ideally in a manufacturing environment
*Previous experience maintaining plant or equipment would be beneficial
*Previous experience using CAD software
*A suitable engineering or equivalent qualification would be beneficial
