Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic well motivated individual to work within the sleep team. This is a rapidly growing service and we require an individual with the drive and ambition to help the sleep service lead and senior leadership team to move the service forward within the evolving field of sleep medicine, providing high standards of patient care in keeping with trust values.

Applicants who are currently completing PTP, STP or PG Cert in sleep medicine would be considered.

Main duties of the job

Duties would include analysis of home multi-channel sleep studies and more complex inpatient studies. Initiating patients onto CPAP therapy and monitoring those on long term therapy in physiologist/nurse led clinics. Please see attached job description.

BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent experience or equivalent degree Knowledge of specialist procedures acquired through specialist/management courses or training/experience to advanced level highly complex polysomnography) ARTP/RCCP/HCPC / RCN Professional Register Teaching/Training certificate

ECNE Part 1/RPSGT credential

Experience as an independent practitioner across the range of routine and specialised sleep investigations and therapeutic interventions with theoretical and practical knowledge of a range of work procedures and practices Specialist experience/training in areas of sleep measurement and therapeutics Experience of managing an area of specialty Budgetary experience Research/Audit
