Working together with clients, we deliver solutions to challenging problems in Mining & Minerals, Infrastructure & Energy, and Property & Development.

The role will include:

  • Completion of Phase I contaminated land, mining /geology and ground engineering desk studies;
  • Acting as a Site Engineer or supporting role, supervising multiple ground investigation / ground remediation / CQA activities on either short or long duration projects with potential working away from home;
  • Designing, specifying and supervising in-situ testing and sampling in accordance with UK specifications and current technical standards;
  • Supervision of site works including logging of soils and rock (in accordance with current UK standards);
  • Carrying out supervision and validation of construction work;
  • Preparing interpretative reporting (geo-environmental and geotechnical)
  • Liaison with clients, engineers, contractors and sub-contractors throughout the site work phase;
  • Assisting in the preparation of contract documentation and administration of contracts (including financial control); and

Further tasks (depending on background) may include mineral / geological interpretation, legacy mining assessment and remediation, waste assessment, geotechnical design / analysis (slope stability, retaining walls, piling, settlement etc.), or hydrogeological field work.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day project management and delivery of projects working closely with and being supported by our existing team.

About you:

We are looking for someone with an ability to work alone and as part of a team. Communicative, organised, flexible and committed, you must also have:

BSc / BEng in related subject (Geology, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Environmental Geology or Science), MSc / MEng or industry experience is advantageous;

A full and clean UK driving license;

Written report writing skills, and computer software skills.
