We are looking for a fulltime level 3 qualified practitioner to join our team who is passionate and committed to providing amazing experiences and learning opportunities to ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education. we offer above industry standard salary with salary increments. You would start on up to 35 days holiday per year (including Bank holidays).

To provide a caring and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years

To maintain the health and well being of children in our care.

To actively contribute to the monitoring and recording of children's development and the sharing of information with other professionals both internally and externally 

Main duties of the job

To adhere to OFSTED Standards & Regulations 

To ensure compliance with child protection procedures 

To take the lead in the absence of the Room Leader

To take the lead in providing a challenging and providing quality care education 

To adhere to nursery and Trust policies and procedures 

To maintain the health and safety of the children in our care carrying out risk assessments when required

Leadership and Improvement Training

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.

Essential criteria

NNEB /BTEC/NVQ 3 in Early Years Care and Education or equivalent

Desirable criteria

GCSE English grade C or equivalent in English Current 12 hour paediatric First Aid course

Knowledge

Essential criteria

Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Knowledge of the Requirements of the Childcare Act 2009 Demonstrate Communication and Interpersonal skills Knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities and processes Knowledge of Ofsted standards and regulations

Desirable criteria

Relevant experience within a childcare setting Experience of working with the Early Years Foundation stage

Disclosure and Barring Checks (DBS)
