Our client is looking torecruit a Fire service and maintenance engineer who wants to join asuccessful and motivatedteam.

Thisrole is focused on the delivery of PPM Servicing & willinclude repairing the life safety systems and facilitating theHealth & Safety procedures and requirements within thecontract. You will work in a different environment daily and acrossvarious locations. We trust our engineers to be the face of ourbusiness and engage with our clients to ensure we deliverexceptional customer serviceexcellence.

Aboutus:

Ourclient is a leading national supplier of fire safety security andelectrical services for the Social Housing sector. The business haswon several new contracts and is looking for experienced engineersto carry out installs testing inspection and repairs as part of ourexisting skilled team. Progression learning and ensuring the safetyof tenants are our primary concerns so attention to detailcommunication and taking pride in your work are allessential.

Youwill be expectedto:
  • Toservice maintain and install fire alarm system (BS58391) andemergency lighting system Nurse Call and Access Control inaccordance with the relevant BritishStandards.
  • Correctlycomplete engineer servicereports.
  • Report deficiencies ordeviations in systems.
  • Report on andmaintain emergency lighting systems and other associated equipmentsuch as fire extinguishers AOVsetc.
  • Conduct regular van stockchecks and liaise with the Engineering Technical Supervisor andProcurement Department to keep replenished and appropriatelystocked.
  • Having a Health and Safetymindset looking at possible risks associated with the role andreporting any issues promptly to support the ongoing safety of selfand others.
  • Complete a first timefix wherepossible.

Requirements
  • Aflexible approach to work with a minimum of 40 hours per weekMonFri with the opportunity to earn significantly more throughweekends and participate in an outofhours calloutrota.
  • A full UK DrivingLicense
  • Previous Fire AlarmExperience and knowledge of analogue addressable and conventionalfire alarm systems.
  • FIA training (orequivalent required) to BS58391Fundamentals.
  • Understanding ofBS5839 in particular part one and part6
  • A good level of ITliteracy.
  • An understanding of Healthand Safety Regulations within theworkplace.

Minimum 3+ Years in Fire & Security Engineering: Provenexperience in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of firealarms and security systems. Local Expertise: Familiarity withlocal regulations and standards in London, Hatfield, andSurrey/Hampshire. Clean Driving License: Must possess a valid andclean driving license to travel between client sites. TechnicalSkills: Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience withfire and security system installations, troubleshooting, andcommissioning. Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients andprovide outstanding service. Problem-Solving Abilities:Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve technical issuesefficiently. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail inall aspects of installation, maintenance, and documentation. TeamCollaboration: Ability to work well within a team, sharingknowledge and supporting colleagues to achieve common goals.Desirable Commissioning Experience: Experience in commissioningfire and security systems is highly desirable and will beconsidered an asset
