We are looking to recruit Fitters to join our engineering department on a full-time permanent basis. You'll be responsible for fitting and assembling mechanical components and systems onboard ships, ensuring systems function with accuracy and efficiency.

Who we are:

A&P Falmouth is one of the largest ship-repair facilities in the UK, we provide a complete range of marine repair services tanks to our on-site engineering, electrical, paint and fabrication workshops.

What you will do:

  • Fit and assemble mechanical components and systems onboard ships according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Install of engineering components including: engines, pumps, valves and propulsion systems with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Use hand and power tools as well as precision measuring instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.

What we are looking for:

  • You'll ideally have experience as a Fitter or in a similar role in a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment.
  • You'll be able to interpret and understand technical drawings.
  • You'll be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • You'll be absolutely committed to ensuring health and safety in your work, we all work safe and go home safe.
  • You'll have excellent teamwork and communication skills, vital for success in the projects that we deliver.
