Interface Manager

We are recruiting for an Interface Manager to join our C1N team, reporting into our C1-North Construction Director, you will be responsible for supporting and leading on interface issues and be responsible for the effective co-ordination and management of the consent, environment, stakeholder engagement, land and quality teams. This includes liaison with the adjacent Main Works Civils Contractor (MWCC), Local Authorities and other Stakeholders to ensure that the various construction teams have all of the consents and permissions necessary to build The Works.
About our role
- Acquire the necessary consents to deliver the project construction programme ahead of time
- Raise any issues with the Local Authorities or other Stakeholders with the C1-North Construction Director and agree a resolution plan.
- Ensure the Environmental team is compliant with all consents, agreements and systems in accordance with ISO 14001 and HS2 requirements under the contract.
- Support the stakeholder and community engagement team to ensure effective internal and external communication parties on project activity and sequence/phasing.
- Ensure ALIGN production team is compliant with the relevant HS2 Undertakings and Assurances
- Liaise with the HS2 Land & Property team on access, acquisition under HS2 powers, land transfers and any third-party agreements that may be required to complete The Works.
- Ensure Quality systems are in place to deliver The Works in accordance with HS2 Specifications and Works Information and ISO 9001 and support the quality self-assurance processes to a high standard on a ‘right first time’ basis.
About you
- Ideally hold a degree level or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline
- Ideally hold Chartered Membership of an appropriate Professional body (eg MICE)
- Demonstrable experience of major projects
- Understand infrastructure construction methods (earthworks, structures, tunnels etc.)
- Have a good working knowledge of UK Health & Safety regulations
- Be familiar with NEC3 Contract documentation
- Have experience of regulatory compliance processes for environment and quality
