The role

Were seeking a Communications Lead for 12 months maternity cover to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful delivery of our pan-regional communications and marketing programmes (predominantly in the East of England, East Midlands, London, South East, South West, North East, North West, West Midlands and Yorkshire & Humber).

Youll be responsible for developing and delivering high-impact communications strategies for pan regional projects and campaigns. Part of the Midlands Regional Support Team, you will work closely with other regional teams, members and external stakeholders to support the delivery of ICEs objectives.

 

Key responsilbilities
  • Develop and implement regional communications and marketing plans and campaigns for pan-regional projects.
  • Oversee the production of high-quality content for various channels, including e-news, social media, websites and printed materials.
  • Manage and support the successful delivery of regional events, maximising profile-raising opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regional media contacts, government officials and industry leaders.
  • Proactively identify and capitalise on media opportunities to raise awareness of ICEs work and influence policy agendas.
  • Provide support and guidance to regional communications leads on best practices and effective communication strategies.

 

Who you are
  • Degree-qualified/professionally qualified (CIPR) or simimar) and proven track record of success in communications field or public relations role
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering successful communications campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • A strong understanding of the media landscape and experience in building media relations.
  • Experience in project management and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Experience working across different teams and functions is highly desirable.
  • A full UK driving license (desirable due to occasional travel).
