Year 5 Teacher

Teaching Personnel are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated educator ready to inspire and guide students through their penultimate year within primary education, with a contract commencing from January 2025- for the full academic year  Join our dynamic team as a Year 5 Class Teacher in the vibrant primary school in Hackney.

Role Overview: As a Year 5 Class Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in preparing students for their transition into year 6 and ultimately their transition into a secondary environment. Your passion, expertise, and commitment to academic excellence will guide students through this important year, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and confidence for their next educational journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality and engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum, including English, Mathematics, Science, and more.
  • Prepare students for key assessments, including SATs, providing effective support and guidance.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Provide guidance and pastoral support to students, helping them navigate the challenges of their final year in primary school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure students receive comprehensive support and guidance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
