Job overview

Do you have excellent leadership and organisational skills? Are you passionate about improving the wellbeing of Children and Young People?

Wiltshire MHST are delighted to be expanding our provision further across Wiltshire and are therefore recruiting for the role of Deputy Team Manager to join our teams in preparation for our expansion in January 2025.

Wiltshire MHST was commissioned in 2020 to provide low intensity CBT to a selected number of schools within the locality. The team are currently in the process of expanding the service to cover over 40% of schools and over 60% of pupils in Wiltshire. This is an exciting time to join a specialist service which provides timely early intervention to children and young people.

We are looking for a qualified RMN, OT, Social Worker or High Intensity CBT therapist who will play a key role in the continuing development of the service. You will be confident in recognising, and with support, addressing the service development needs. You will be able to create effective working partnerships with School Staff, Social Care and other key stakeholders. You will work closely with the Clinical Team Manager and Supervisors to help ensure we are a safe and effective clinical team.

Main duties of the job

You will facilitate good communication and liaison with young people, their families, interfacing with schools/colleges, colleagues within the Trust and across other organisations.

You will be responsible for providing leadership to the team, providing advise on complex cases, liaising with the education settings on clinical cases, unlocking barriers to engagement, building up key relationships, attending national conferences and seminars and reporting information as necessary.

This post will suit someone with a passion for working in early intervention and prevention. This is an exciting venture and collaboration between Health, Education, local authority and voluntary sectors.
