5DRecruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a leadingmanufacturer of bespoke machinery which is supplied in to a varietyof industries including power generation infrastructure and datacentres. Due to continued growth we are looking to recruit a JuniorBuyer to bolster the existing team. There are a variety of productswithin the range which can vary in size from handheld through toshipping container sized. Products can either be portable or afixed installation.

What theRole will involve for the JuniorBuyer:

  • Run theMRP and review demand.
  • Expediting toensure on time deliveries.
  • Liaisewith other departments to ensure all shortages are followedup.
  • Work with the Engineering teamto crosscheck suitability of alternateparts.
  • Enter purchase orders on SAPand maintain all price checkprocedures.
  • Maintain the internalcosting databases.
  • Progress orderswith suppliers.
  • Monitor supplierperformance.
  • Buying a variety ofcomponents all within a wellestablished existing supplychain.


Requirements

Whatwe are looking for in the JuniorBuyer:

  • Knowledgeof purchasing and procurement processes andprocedures.
  • ERP Knowledge ideallywith SAP but any mainstream product knowledge isfine
  • Good communication skills withthe confidence to speak to suppliers and various internalstakeholders including production andengineering.

What we are looking for in the Junior Buyer: Knowledge ofpurchasing and procurement processes and procedures. ERP Knowledge,ideally with SAP - but any mainstream product knowledge is fineGood communication skills with the confidence to speak tosuppliers, and various internal stakeholders - including productionand engineering.
