An exciting opportunity has arisen to help shape the growth of the Creative Studio within DesignScene; therefore, we are seeking to employ an experienced Lead/Senior Designer who will be able to lead and support projects working with a group of multi-disciplined creative to deliver excellent design concepts.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented global team on hugely creative and innovative projects. Some of our major international clients include Pinterest, Amazon, Yahoo, Snap, Live Nation and ITV Global Entertainment for whom we activate at worldwide at markets such as CES, IFA, MIPCOM and Cannes Lions

Our focus is creativity with a practical head – we offer creative solutions for our clients that fit within budget and within brief and are always looking to push creative boundaries, try new products, processes and materials and create industry talking points

What is the main purpose of the job?

 

With a natural and genuine passion for design and contemporary culture, and a record of creating world-class brand experiences, you will work with our team of Designers across multiple disciplines. You will be responsible for delivering exquisite design and creative support across a range of projects.

To interpret design briefs and translate them into innovative and creative solutions

The role sits within the Creative Studio, reporting to the Creative Director

What do you have to achieve?

  • Client satisfaction
  • Excellence in design concepts that are fit for purpose
  • Creative development of the client’s brief to ensure the goals of the brief are met
  • Excellent management of the creative process for every assigned project
  • Ensure all creative work and deliverables are delivered to a high standard and to the agreed deadlines and budget constraints
  • Great, timely communication with relevant parties
  • Strong partnership with other disciplines to ensure effective delivery and information flow
  • Manage company communication effectively and consistently from/to senior management flagging any issues and seeking resolution
  • Efficient working across international teams and time zones

What do you have to do?

  • Work in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure the objectives and requirements of the job are met through the design process, whilst pushing creative boundaries
  • Creative development, support and delivery
  • Produce high quality creative solutions that inspire and delight our clients, meet their design brief and are delivered within the constraints of cost and time
  • Ability to confidently present creative projects to clients (and internal teams)
  • Coordinate with production team and outside suppliers, such scenic vendors or printers
  • Be onsite during site visits to view the venue and understand the surroundings
  • To regularly evaluate market trends and share with business

 

What are the skills required?

  • Passion and enthusiasm for design, with creative flair
  • Vast experience of working in 2D design roles with event experience
  • The ability to take initial ideas and effectively translate into innovative design solutions
  • Detailed knowledge of the creative process
  • Flexible and collaborative approach with the ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills in order to interpret briefs with the team and clients
  • Excellent presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to clients and colleagues
  • Time management skills and the ability to work on several projects at a time
  • The ability to take initial ideas and effectively translate into innovative design solutions
  • Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs
  • Technically proficient in relevant design packages
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to multi-task and work effectively under pressure
  • Influencing and negotiating skills

  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Expert in Apple OS, Google G-Suite, Microsoft Office, Apple Keynote
  • Expert in designing across a range of webinar platforms
