Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Quality Engineer to address all customer quality and engineering issues, providing proactive support and response until resolution and customer closure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize company systems to record, progress, respond, and close out customer concerns using problem-solving techniques.
  • Manage customer issues management systems.
  • Support and lead internal and supplier quality submissions.
  • Lead the team in preparing control plans and support reviews, documenting outputs according to company procedures.
  • Understand detailed customer requirements and communicate them to the internal team to ensure full comprehension.
  • Project manage product quality and engineering requirements through various studies and reports in support of new product introduction.
  • Define, specify, and support the project management, manufacture, and introduction of necessary test equipment and gauging to meet quality requirements.
  • Optimize measurement techniques to deliver a stable and capable production process using statistical methods and support experimental activities.
  • Support design reviews and prototype builds.
  • Train production teams on customer expectations and quality requirements.
  • Conduct internal and external audits.
  • Support product launch through relevant reports and alerts.
  • Monitor warranty acceptance rates and maintain response timing.

Other Responsibilities:

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Quality Engineering, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Degree, HND, HNC, or equivalent in quality engineering preferred.
  • Experience dealing with customer quality systems and procedures.
  • Strong customer focus with excellent problem-solving, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple tasks across different teams.
  • Competent in a high-volume automotive environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and managerial skills.
  • Proficient in the local language, with English preferred.
  • Team player with high personal integrity and the ability to work effectively across borders and functions.

Location:

  • Based in a specified plant with occasional travel requirements.
