About the role

It’s an exciting time at Orica. Our Digital Solutions business is continually developing cutting-edged technologies which are changing the Mining and Infrastructure sectors.

Due to this significant growth within our Digital Solutions business, we are delighted to announce that we are inviting applications for the exciting opportunity of Electronics Technician.

Working alongside our friendly and supportive team in our offices in Tewkesbury, United Kingdom, the Electronics Technician will be part of our expanding electronic design and manufacturing team.

What you will be doing

Assist in the support, calibration and repair of the company’s electromechanical survey instruments used to survey boreholes; Test, calibration and repair of electronic navigation systems; Responsible for equipment testing, repair and calibration based upon ongoing operational commitments; Maintenance and repair schedules of this equipment.

What you will bring

3 - 5 years’ experience of working in an electronics development and test environment; Qualification related to HNC/HND level in Electronic Engineering or relevant demonstrable Electronics knowhow; Experience in fault finding and repair of analogue and digital electronic systems at component level is essential; A keen analytical mind and a strong understanding of the principles of electronic design; Experience in the design, development and manufacture of both low frequency analogue and digital electronics are essential; Knowledgeable and highly experienced in electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
