Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Scarborough
Salary: £86-£96 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full Time, Short Term

GSL Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant, across primary client schools located in Scarborough, starting ASAP.

As a Teaching Assistant( Primary) your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Assist children with their learning on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide assistance with classroom activities and manage classroom behaviour.
  • Support the social and emotional development of children.
  • Prepare and organise resources for lessons and activities.

As a Teaching Assistant (Primary), essential requirements include the following:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant (Primary) is desirable.
  • A relevant qualification in Education or Childcare is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with children in a primary school setting.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to have one processed immediately.
