Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant as 1:1 Support in a Primary School. 

Start September 

Do you have experience and passion for working with SEN children (ASD, ADHD & AUSTIM)

They are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who has experience with SEN/ASD/ADHD. In the position of SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be valued as a team member and will be supported in your own individual success and well-being.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role will be working with a SEN pupil as 1:1 support.

  • Managing and defusing pupils behaviourial moments in compassionate and calm tone. 
  • Helping and supporting the pupil through their education an giving them extra support to stay focused and to understand their learning tasks. 
  • Working with individual learners in the classroom 1:1, or working with individuals or small groups.
  • Keeping track and recording pupil progress and communicate with SENCO.
  • Build a trust and bond with pupil and making sure the child is always safe. 
  • Become apart of the supportive school faimlu
