Emerging Talent Advisor

We're currently recruiting for an Emerging Talent Advisor to join our Kier Transportation Team. This role will engage with the Emerging Talent programmes and employees to support throughout their employee lifecycle. This includes apprentices, trainees, undergraduates and graduates.

 

Location: Flexible, with expected to travel to sites as required

Contract: Permanent, full-time and able to consider part-time working

 

Responsibilities

 

As an Emerging Talent Advisor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

 

  • Collaborating with the Social Sustainability teams on external engagement through work experience, school engagement and career fairs.
  • Partnering with the internal Talent Acquisition team on attraction and recruitment strategies.
  • Leading assessment centres and interviews for selection process and ensuring a quality experience through onboarding and induction.
  • Creating a pipeline of emerging talent through development and retention.
  • Monitoring and report ongoing progress, pastoral care and any performance & development areas.
  • Feeding into the Transportation talent management process to ensure Emerging talent is retained and progresses through the organisation.
  • Engaging with a range of organisations, attending events and support the attraction of a diverse range of emerging talent.

 

 What are we looking for?

 

This role of Emerging Talent Advisor is great for you if you have:

 

  • A passion for working with and supporting the Emerging Talent population and those with barriers to employment.
  • A good knowledge and understanding of apprenticeship and graduate programmes.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Able to collaborate with and build relationships with a range of stakeholders both internal and externally.
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure whilst remaining calm and focused.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels – schools, early careers, contract management through to presentation/talks at events and recruitment days
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
