Outwood Academy Newbold places students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased student attainment, achievement and social and emotional development. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘Students First; raising standards and transforming lives’. Required to start as soon as possible, we are seeking to appoint a committed individual to work as our In School Tutor on a casual contract. The successful candidate will effectively support selected students who don’t access mainstream education for a variety of reasons that are usually connected to mental health and wellbeing. There will be individually tailored programmes of one to one tuition in all areas of the curriculum.

We welcome applications from people who:

• hold qualified teacher status, or are a qualified HE or FE teacher; or 

• are able to demonstrate a track record of effective teaching; or

• are able to demonstrate that you can work with individual pupils to progress their learning in all subjects, including Maths and English

• have subject specific knowledge across the curriculum
