About the role
Morrison Water Services are currently looking to recruit an experienced Power BI Analyst to work on our Thames Water Metering and Developer Services contracts based in Langley, Berkshire.
Morrison Water Services play a key role in delivering the Smart Metering & Developer Services Programmes for Thames Water, installing and replacing water meters, managing customer side leakage, and completing new connections and disconnections, whilst providing an excellent customer experience.
The Power BI Analyst will be required to work collaboratively with our client, Thames Water, to ensure all aspects of performance delivery are achieved.
This role joins the Performance team which supports both the Operational and Service Delivery Teams, producing all reporting that demonstrates our overall contractual performance and service delivery, including training, customer experience, regulatory compliance, service levels and staff engagement. All Performance activities need to be completed compliantly and within SLA to avoid financial fines. What constitutes compliance is specified by the Regulators, OfWAT, MOSL, Environment Agency, Highways Authorities & Consumer Council for Water.
As our Power BI Analyst you will have the opportunity to build Power BI reporting suites that optimise our data and be involved in key projects to bring efficiencies and improvements using AI.
The role is extremely varied. It would suit a self-motivated individual with strong personal leadership skills and a passion for customer excellence, service delivery and maintaining strong working relationships, built on integrity & trust.
This is a hybrid, remote/office-based role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leading by example and ensuring that safety is always a priority. Creating and amending Power BI dashboards Creating and amending DAX report Implement best practices in the extraction, analysis, and presentation of analytical data to improve the quality of information available to the business. Initiative-taking problem solving, reviewing processes & procedures, to optimise performance and overall productivity. Collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to understand their data needs and requirements and ensure data integrity and availability. Delivering the reporting requirements of stakeholders, including designing and building effective reports and visually compelling dashboards in Power BI, including charts, graphs, tables, and maps. Data modelling and creating relationships between different data sources. Incorporating filters, slicers, and drill-through functionalities to enhance data exploration. Monitoring and troubleshooting issues related to data connections, data refresh, and report performance. Staying up to date with new features and functionalities of Power BI and AI and explore ways to leverage them effectively. Providing guidance, support, expertise, and training in the fields of Power BI, data analysis, and business analysis to the wider team. Strong project manager who can take on additional responsibilities as required. Supporting, where required, on recruitment and HR meetings for our team.The Key Requirements
Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI Familiar with Power BI report functionality such drill-through, tooltips and bookmarks Solid DAX experience Good understanding of tabular modelling A talent for interpreting data to produce understandable visuals and actionable insights. You must be capable of translating the requirements of non-data personnel and prioritising them effectively. Ability to build strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders based on integrity & trust. Passionate about working within a team, customer experience and operational delivery.
