Job Description:

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant with SEN experience, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing targeted support to students with SEN, both in individual and group settings
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and learning strategies tailored to each student's needs
  • Supporting classroom teachers in differentiating instruction and creating an inclusive learning environment
  • Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to teachers, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborating with external professionals, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education and support

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support students with diverse needs
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, with a proactive and positive attitude
