A leading local Construction business are seeking a Financial Controller to join their team based in their Plymouth office. 

This role is to oversee and coordinate the accounting function of the business and supporting the Finance Manager. 

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Finance Director
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of accounts administration including maintaining accounts administrative systems
  • Create reports, monthly VAT returns, overseeing purchase & sales ledger
  • CIS monthly returns
  • Processing monthly end payments to sub-contractors/clients
  • Monthly end VAT reporting
  • Accounts processes, sales ledger, purchase ledger 

Experience & Qualifications required:
  • AAT level 2 minimum
  • Experience of accounting software and working within a similar role
  • Ability to handle a wide variety of situations and problems
  • Knowledge of accounts processes, sales ledger, purchase ledger and administrative principles of an accounts department.
  • Problem solver and can work alone or within a team

This is a permanent role with free parking and close to good transport links in Plymouth.
