Exam Invigilators Needed in Durham – Start ASAP

Teaching Personnel is partnering with several schools in County Durham and the surrounding areas to bring on additional Exam Invigilators for the busy summer exam season. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a school setting, earn extra income, and gain valuable experience

We welcome applications from:

  • Experienced exam invigilators
  • Retired or semi-retired individuals seeking seasonal part-time work
  • Graduates looking to gain school experience
  • Anyone currently out of work and looking for flexible opportunities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribute exam papers and materials efficiently
  • Maintain quiet, focused exam conditions
  • Keep accurate time throughout exams
  • Organize the exam hall to school standards
  • Manage student queries with patience and clarity

For some sessions, you may also be asked to act as a scribe for students with additional needs, so a strong command of English and the ability to project your voice are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
