TheRole

Development of seasonallyrelevant inline and SMU apparel collections which align to thecommercial brief and lineplan whilst implementing the creativedirection.

Understands and adheres to key datesand gates so that orders can be placed ontime and according to theseasonalcalendar.

Responsibilities

  • Developproducts from initial tech pack stage through to final bulkproduction buyready ensuring quality fit and price targets aremet.
  • Manages the successful completion ofdelivery priorities within allocated collections as per thecritical path identifying potential challenges and delays raisingawareness with line manager.
  • Be involved withseasonal product costing process be aware of FOB prices andbusiness margintargets.
  • SupportsDeveloper and Senior Developer working with the designers garmenttech and materials team on the most appropriate fabrics trims fitand construction selection to ensure end products are fit forpurpose and engineered to maximise efficiency both technically andfrom a cost perspective.
  • Meets output of workrequests within the critical path framework raise delay concerns toline Manager and developers in a timely manner ensuring impact todelivery can be minimised.
  • Build and maintainan understanding of the supply base gathering awareness through thebroader team.
  • Develop and foster strong workingrelationships with suppliers.
  • Maintain the lineplan to ensure all target prices are received and work with theSenior Product developer to ensure that they are adhered to.
  • Ensure accuracy of tech packs enabling easyunderstanding by the factories.
  • Understand thefabrics used in the products allocated approving bulk fabrics andtesting with assistance from the materials team and Senior productdeveloper.
  • Review all sampling stages to ensurefit is in line with Castore standards working with the fit andblock manager to ensure precision fit.
  • Approvalof all care instructions in line with CPdates.
  • Have an awareness of wearer trials andtesting to ensure that the product is fit for purpose for the enduser and professional.
  • Work with wider team tofind solutions to manufacturing issues during the productionprocess keeping Senior product developer up to date beforeapproving the AQL to allow shipment.
  • Discussany inbound quality concerns with the Senior Product developer toarrange next steps with DC Technicallead.
  • Builds knowledge on specific sportcalendars and governing body regulations to improve ones ownunderstanding of product requirements restrictions and deliverytimings.
  • Provides cross category support whererequired with timely communication of sample trim lab dip commentsto ensure on time buyready and shipment sign off to critical pathexpectations
  • Be a role model maintaining apositive attitude and supporting the broaderteam.
  • Contribute to protection of Castoresintellectual property.
  • Complete any adhoc tasksas required by your linemanager.

Skills& Qualities

Skills andExperience:

Experience of a similar productdevelopment or garment tech role

Bachelors degreepreferably in textile/fashion.

Ability to workcrossfunctionally liaising with peer groups across the business todrive efficiencies and results.

Ability to workwithin strict deadlines and able to be adaptive tochanges.

Comfortable in a fastpaced andeverchanging business environment.

Excellentplanning and organisation skills.

Flexibleapproach and willingness to further learn & adapt in a fastpace growing business.

Advanced user of MS Officesuite of products.
