We are offering an exciting opportunity for a band 4 Radiotherapy Research Administrator to join our team in a forward thinking radiotherapy department at Velindre Cancer Centre.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Radiotherapy Research Administrator wishing to expand their knowledge and experience at a purpose built Cancer Centre, providing world class cancer care and research to the people of South East Wales.

Main duties of the job

Act as minute taker for Radiotherapy Research and Development meetings Prepare and co-ordinate meetings and events which include members of the Trust, external Trusts, national and international bodies Co-ordinate all research submissions and amendments to appropriate ethics committee's, research and development offices and other required approvals, as per Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and in accordance with Research Governance and other regulatory requirements. In collaboration with oncology research teams, ensure that site files for Radiotherapy studies are maintained according to regulatory requirements. Responsible for complex data collection on the Radiotherapy research team portfolio of studies as per Good Clinical Practice guidelines (GCP), transcribing complex information to Case Report Forms (CRF's) with supervision and guidance.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications & Knowledge

Essential

HNC/HND/NVQ level 4 or equivalent knowledge in health care Knowledge of a full range of software programs Knowledge of medical terminology GCP Certificate or willingness to attain

Desirable

Graduate in health related qualification ECDL Knowledge of research / cancer terminology Knowledge of ethical and R&D approval process Knowledge of principles of trial methodology Knowledge of research legislation Preparation of presentations Knowledge of Clinical Trial databases

Experience
