The role
As a Software Technical Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We are looking for an energetic and driven Software Technical Lead, to provide Subject Matter Expertise and design leadership into our expanding engineering team for major programmes. This role represents a fantastic and rare opportunity to play a senior role in a design team, working on new and exciting international projects as part of a rapidly expanding organisation.

Day-to-day, you’ll work with the Systems Team and Technical Architect, owning the technical solution and roadmap to meet all requirements and manage passionate software development and hardware integration teams including full stack, front end, back end developers integration engineers and testers, as well as:

You will be responsible for team planning including estimating schedules, resourcing and costs of delivery and drive the team sprint to sprint to ensure successful delivery of software products to time, quality and schedule. Clearly communicating with Software Technical Architect, project manager and key stakeholders to develop and maintain roadmap aligned to project requirements. You will be responsible for phase and epic sign-off with associated testing to closeout phase deliverables. Managing software test and acceptance phases. Represent software development team in liaisons with the project stakeholders, enabling collaborative approach to risks issues and opportunities whilst promoting and delivering software demos for project stakeholders and developers. Ensure that quality of any released software meets expected goals & standards whilst providing oversight of technical implementation and releases and perform system/domain skills requirements analysis.

This role is full time and is a hybrid role with 1-2 day per week onsite at our Ashton House site.


Essential experience of the Software Technical Lead:

Demonstrable software development, solution design and delivery experience Full software Lifecycle management experience  Leadership and team management experience Software & Hardware integration experience


Qualifications for the Software Technical Lead:

Degree or equivalent in software engineering. HNC/HND with equivalent, relevant experience is valued and welcomed.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
