We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Band 4 Associate Practitioners to join our established and growing team in the Blood Sciences Laboratory. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and expanding service, contributing to vital diagnostic work and patient care.
This is a part-time position ( hours per week) , with participation in a 24/7 rota required to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job
About the Role: As an Associate Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting our registered Biomedical Scientists in delivering high-quality laboratory services. Key responsibilities include:
Participating in laboratory testing procedures across Haematology , Biochemistry , Point of Care Testing , Rapid COVID-19 Testing , and Blood Transfusion . Providing technical support to scientific staff within the Blood Sciences Department. Working collaboratively to ensure efficient and accurate processing of samples.

A-levels (must inc. Biology or Chemistry)

Relevant foundation degree, Level 4 BTEX, IBMS Certificate of Achievement Level 2 or equivalent Evidence of training in other areas related to Laboratory work Health and Safety
