Job Role: 1:1 Tutor
Location: Barnsley
Start Date: September 2024
Salary: £25 - £40 per hour
Contract Type: Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:
GSL Education are currently seeking experienced 1:1 Tutors to provide Maths, English, and Science tuition for students in Barnsley starting in September 2024. This role is ideal for qualified teachers who are eager to work on a one-to-one basis with children and young people, helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement catch-up programmes for students, focusing on Maths, English, or Science.
  • Provide personalised, engaging sessions to meet individual student needs.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing regular feedback.
  • Employ a creative, flexible, and trauma-informed approach to tutoring.

Requirements:

  • Hold professional teaching qualifications or equivalent degree.
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, or other additional educational needs.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding processes.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
