Pricing Transformation Excel Developer

Job Purpose

The Goal of the Team is to transform the in-house Pricing Management Suite into a Sell-as-a-Service professional application that utilizes our cutting-edge pricing models.

This role’s integral part in that team is to build, and continually improve, the tools & processes that will be the building blocks of the new Price Management Application.

We are looking for a skilled full-stack excel developer, who wants to work closely with the end-users, and does not want to be constrained by a classic IT departments’ bureaucracy and slow pace.

The Team itself has a great start-up feel. It’s small, highly motivated and multi-disciplinary, with each member confident in their ability to work independently, but happy to work together in larger projects.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development (SQL / VBA / Python)

Develop advanced Excel-based applications and tools (Excel front-end, SQL back-end). Train end-users on the efficient use of Excel tools Ensure all Excel-based tools are user-friendly and meet business requirements.

Database Management (Azure - T-SQL)

Adding and maintaining tables Creating procedures & jobs needed for task automation Working with the team’s Data Scientists to ensure data pipe-lines are maintained

Business Integration

Getting the tools to a standard where we can launch to partners Ensuring data integrity between Pricing and the wider IT system. Working with IT to enhance the security and stability of the price management system

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Business, Finance, IT or related fields).  Certification: Proof of business level proficiency in SQL, VBA & Python (optional). Advanced user of the full Microsoft Office 365 suite, especially the Power Platform. Familiarity with Excel integration with databases and other systems. Ability to troubleshoot and debug Excel issues efficiently. Solid understanding of data analysis and visualization principles. Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy. Proven ability to undertake projects from initial inception through to completion. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Prioritises well, and consistently delivers against tight deadlines.  Team player with high level of professional integrity. Comfortable with ambiguity and prepared to work in an agile and flexible way.  Experience in price optimization and/or revenue management is preferred.
