Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious neuro physiotherapist to join our team and take our neuro service to the next level.

Specifically we are looking for someone to:

utilize their clinical and leadership skills to develop our neuro therapy provision in innovative ways create an inpatient neuro therapy outreach service work with our discharge and community teams to help prevent admission for people living with neurological conditions where appropriate promote the role of AHPs working in neurology and play a meaningful part in the neuro ward leadership team contribute to operational leadership of the therapy department

Main duties of the job

This role is primarily inpatient based working with a mixture of acute and chronic neurology patients as well as some medical inpatients.

Essential

Degree in physio HCPC reg CPD activities related to neurology

Desirable

formal qualification in neuro rehab

Clinical SKills

Essential

Advanced knowledge of broad range of conditions in specialist area Suitable and relevant clinical experience as a band 6 within specialist area Knowledge of national service guidelines and own professional guidelines, especially those related to stroke, neurology, care of the elderly and dementia care

Desirable

Experience supervising AHPs from other professions Experience of implementing change Experience of working in partnership across organisational boundaries
