FILM & SMART SURFACE SOLUTIONS (F&SSS)
We are Film & Smart Surface Solutions (F&SSS) and currently active in more than 50 countries. Our main production location is in the UK, with plans in place to realise a second production location in Asia. Our R&D and Technical centres are already in all three territories, Americas, Asia and Europe.
Our target for the F&SSS division is to become the market leader in the in-mold electronics space for the automotive industry. It capitalizes on emerging trends in human-machine interfaces, displays and in-mold electronics. Job PurposeTo work closely with production (mixing, coating, and conversion) to ensure all products manufactured meet the highest standards of quality.
Job Responsibilities- Provide information and analysis to the production teams regarding the quality of the product and process.
- To test and approve for use or sale, raw materials, mixed, coated and converted product as defined within the product specifications.
- Identify and report internal non-conformance events, to ensure the appropriate immediate action is taken e.g. product containment.
- Develop product tests and ensure best practice is applied and maintained.
- Track & analyse product and process performance trends.
- Review quality, customer and performance issues with the quality/ manufacturing teams and recommend improvements.
- Assist in production problem solving and customer complaint issues.
- To ensure all Health and Safety standards are maintained and any deviations reported immediately.
- Scientific background
- Industrial/manufacturing experience
- Good analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills, experience of SAP an advantage
- Flexible in approach to work
- Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
