The Collaborative Doctoral Partnership in Nuclear Threat Reduction will offer graduates a doctoral training programme underpinned by world-class research and industrial expertise. We are looking to recruit an exceptional individual to take up the role of Centre Manager, working with the Director on the CDP.
What will you be doing?
The CDT Manager will take sole responsibility for the administrative running of the Centre, making key decisions when necessary to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Centre including strategic and operational planning; managing Centre finances; liaison with external partners including funding bodies; administering student records and processes from recruitment to graduation; scheduling student training programmes; providing pastoral support to postgraduate students; event management; public engagement and impact activities.
You should apply if
You will have relevant experience, for example within Higher Education administration or research, excellent organisation and project management skills; the ability to plan and prioritise workloads and to meet multiple fixed deadlines. You will have budgetary experience, and will possess strong numeracy, IT and communication skills in English. Additionally you should be able to manage a constant and varied portfolio of requests; provide pastoral support to postgraduate students and be able to work independently with a high level of self-motivation.
