We are seeking an experienced a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join our friendly Gatwick based team to be a part of this continuing transformation

Reporting to the Head of Technology Delivery, you will be involved in day-to-day management of network and infrastructure incidents, problems and change requests, and acting at an industry 3rd Line level enabling the Technology Team to fulfil corporate service levels. These activities require you to have a good technical understanding of networking and on-premises infrastructure to manage suppliers effectively, and successfully migrate on-premises infrastructure to the cloud.

You must have the ability to customise infrastructure to help our growing business become more secure and efficient. Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance, experience managing and collaborating with staff, and advanced industry knowledge is key to keeping us on the cutting edge. You Will:

· Work with the Technology Leadership Team in the secure design of Air Partner Group companys networks and infrastructure.

· Define and document best practices and strategies around application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.

· Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, while maintaining high standards of security, quality, and thoughtful design.

· Manage cloud and on-premises environments per company security and architectural guidelines.

· Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud applications at the direction of the Technology Leadership Team.

· Participate in all aspects of the software deployment life cycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.

· Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fixes, and document problems, and implement preventive measures.

· Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required.

· Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity.

· Work with Business Application, and other teams to implement and integrate Cloud Security solutions.

· Support compliance initiatives (contractual, regulatory, and internal) by working with our Business Intelligence team to create and deliver appropriate data-driven dashboards, reports, and other supporting artefacts.

· Maintain knowledge of the latest cloud security threats.

· Design, develop, administer, and/or maintaining the security of cloud environments (Azure) with a clear passion for cloud security and cloud technologies.

Essential:

· Technical proficiency in network security knowledge, to include VPN, Firewall, network monitoring, intrusion detection, web server security, and wireless security.

· Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques.

· Practical experience with database security, content filtering, vulnerability scanning, and anti-malware.

· In-depth understanding of Azure data protection and security architecture/features, including Security Centre and Secure Score, DDoS attack mitigation, Azure Front door etc.

· Understanding of Azure server and serverless architecture, cloud platform services, application service environments, service fabric, Azure functions and Azure API management.

· Demonstrable experience building and deploying technologies for an Azure platform.

· Microsoft Azure cloud certifications.

· Expertise with Infrastructure and/or Network Engineering Design.

· Experience developing cloud network architecture and defining end-to-end Network as Code deployments.

· 5 GCSEs A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language & Maths).

You will also have:

· To implement, maintain and proactively support our network, server, and desktop infrastructure.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Organised and self-motivated.

· The ability to make decisions while balancing the varying priorities of open calls.

· An excellent understanding of data and technology security.

· Management and mentoring skills.

Desirable:

· BS or MA in Computer Science, Information Security, CCIE, or a related field

· Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and/or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

A good understanding of:

· A broad range of technologies and vendors including at least some of the following: Cisco Meraki, SDWAN, VMWare, Monitoring, Windows, Linux

· Network & Security Support (TCP/Routing/Firewalls/Switching/VPN/Web filtering/Antivirus)

· Varied knowledge of core infrastructure technologies (Windows Server, Exchange/Office 365, Citrix, VMware, Hyper-V)

· Backup Systems (SolarWinds, Veeam)

· Microsoft Office Suite O365 Windows and Mac.

· Windows Server 2008 to 2022.

· Windows Server Roles (RDP, DHCP, DNS, RAS, File Sharing, IIS, ADFS).

· Both Active Directory & Azure Active Directory - Group Policy Management.

· Networking knowledge (LAN / WAN).

· Customer / Client facing IT Support.

· Firm grounding of expertise around global Voice & Data networks.

· Cyber Security and GDPR knowledge processes advantageous.

· Windows client operating systems.
