What you will do:

Are you looking to develop or advance your skills working in community services as part of an established, cohesive and friendly dietetic team?

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Dietitian to join our busy Community/Primary Care East Ayrshire dietetic team. This post is based at North West Kilmarnock Area Centre working alongside dietitians, a dietetic assistant practitioner and a dietetic support worker. You will provide an evidence based dietetic service to a range of clinical specialties within a domiciliary, care home and outpatient clinic caseload with responsibility for the day to day management of your own caseload and will be supported to be a core contributor to the department’s shared caseload. By operating a partly shared team caseload we are able to offer excellent opportunities in a wide range of clinical areas. The department provides training to A, B and C placement student dietitians and offers clinical supervision.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You should possess an Honours degree/postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics and have current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. Experience in community dietetics would be an advantage. Evidence of competencies and skills required to deliver this post is essential e.g. excellent team working and organisational skills, robust time management and prioritisation skills and self-motivation.
