EMEA Rates Business Product Owner

Our tech teams partner with front office, QR, operations and finance to deliver best in class technological solutions, enabling us to make key business decisions across our USD 4bn Global Rates trading franchise. As an experienced Product Manager, your goal will be to understand the EMEA business and their direction of travel. Partnering closely across Rates specific and centralised engineering teams and stakeholders to build out the required capabilities across a range of applications to enable the us to deliver to our clients. You will be responsible for defining and ensuring that the delivered solutions satisfy both functional and non-functional requirements, as well as their ability to scale across the different products for future adoption and volumes.
You will own the vision, roadmap, and direction of real products that our clients observe, handling prioritisation and co-ordination of features across horizontal workstreams. The ideal candidate will have a software engineering background and be looking to consider the bigger picture as part of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of Rates Technology, the business Product Manager will partner with all Rates development teams as well as ATRS to define the business priorities and requirements enabling new products to trade and a first class user experience. Build a product vision, roadmap and drive prioritization to deliver the key objectives by understanding in depth the needs of Rates Line Of Business ( LOB ) Front Office, Operations & Back Office teams and partnering with Engineering teams, Manage the functional and technical requirements of business stakeholders to support their core requirements Influence the design and usability of solutions delivered by the technical teams. Own full end to end testing of the delivered solutions prior to demoing to key stakeholders. Build analytics and observability dashboards for primary user workflows to measure the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliabilityRequired:
5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area You have strong leadership skills and the ability to independently own products end-to-end. You have a strong track record of deliveries – defining a vision, owning a roadmap and seeing product roll out to completion You have a view on what it takes to build a scalable Digital Platform, shared components and services that can serve multiple distribution channels The ability to build consensus amongst a wide range of partners including business owners, technology, operations, and product control Experience and strong desire to drive agile practices within the product and engineering teamsDesirable:
Experience in working with Cloud based technologies and in onboarding products to cloud. Have had hands on experience in developing quality code with Python/Smalltalk/Java. Understanding of rates products and the lifecycle of a transaction Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or a similar numerical and analytical discipline, or professional software engineering experience.
