Day to Day Duties

  •  Pro actively engaging with staff to improve quality culture across all departments.
  •  Finished product and environment microbiological and allergen testing.
  •  Leading taste panels, reporting findings & addressing non-conforming product.
  •  Conducting internal calibrations, managing external calibration schedule
  •  Conducting GMP, foreign body and procedure audits, driving close-out of resulting actions
  •  Checking and filing production paperwork to ensure due diligence for every batch.
  •  Conducting microbiological and organoleptic testing over shelf life
  •  Managing the on-hold process for non-conforming materials and product
  •  Flagging, recording and investigating non-conformances.
  •  Conducting routine challenges of the traceability system
  •  Conduct and present traceability for audits
  •  Assisting with complaints investigations
  •  Assisting with training out procedures
  •  Supporting activities during customer and third-party audits
  •  Shelf life and nutrition testing from trials
  •  Vegan & Investigative swabbing
  •  Consumables
  •  External calibrations

Essential Skills

  •  Experience: Quality Assurance experience – ideally working with High Care but not necessary as we can provide the training.
  •  Qualifications: Minimum is Level 2 HACCP and Food Safety Training
  •  Skills: Proficient with IT, Computers and Microsoft - Excel and lab portal are a regularly used in the role.
  •  A proactive, resilient attitude and they need to be comfortable working independently, take initiative and manage their own workload.
  •  Strong attention to detail
  •  Proficient IT skills
  •  Excellent communication
  •  Previous experience in high-risk/high care food manufacturing
  •  Assertive: willing and able to drive quality culture on the factory floor

Desirable Experience

  •  Previous quality assurance experience
  •  Food safety Level 2
  •  HACCP Level 2

What training is provided?

  • Training is provided but relevant experience is required.
