Sugarman Health and well-being is currently seeking a health care assistant, to provide clinical support to a young man, with a spinal injury near Dorchester.

We are looking for a team of Health Care Assistants to work 12 hour shifts and who are flexible on working days and nights.

You would become an essential part of the clients team in enhancing his life. Our client is reserved and enjoys the technical aspects of the world such as computers, tv series and chess.

The ideal candidate would be able to not only provide care, but also help to empower and encourage the service user to lead a fulfilling life. Previous experience in a complex care background is preferred but not essential. However 6 months experience in care is required and full training and support will be given.
We do ask that candidates have a positive and active attitude and are organised and punctual.
About the Health Care Assistant role:

⦁ Hourly Rate(Weekdays): £14.50(Weekends)
⦁ Location: Dorchester
⦁ Shifts: Alternate Staurdays and/or Every Tuesday
⦁ Flexible
⦁ Contract Type: Full Time
⦁ Speciality: Complex Care
⦁ Start Date: ASAP
⦁ PPE provided

The ideal candidate would:

⦁ Help promote our client`s independence
⦁ Have a can do attitude and be flexible to support our client in what he wants to each day and night
⦁ Have clear English and great communication skills
⦁ Be patient in understanding the clients needs
⦁ Be proactive, energetic and thoughtful with a sense of humour
⦁ Be willing to travel on holiday with our client
⦁ Be happy to work with animals
⦁ Must be a non smoker

We are looking to employ Personal Care Assistants who are passionate about giving the best care they can, promoting independence and enhancing our clients quality of life.

You would become an essential part of his existing care team in this fulfilling and exciting role.

Theory and practical training will be provided to ensure you have the correct skills to support this individual to care for his family. This will give you the opportunity to learn new skills, develop your career and experience exciting things.

What are your duties as a Health Care Assistant in this package?

⦁ Able to support in Moving and Handling & Personal Care
⦁ Supporting and maintaining all clinical needs such as bowel and bladder management
⦁ To be respectful and maintain professional boundaries
⦁ Someone who will go above and beyond for the Service User and staff involved in the package
Applicant requirements:
⦁ A minimum of 6 months care experience
⦁ Able to work in the UK and can show documents
⦁ Full enhanced DBS
⦁ Up to date CV
