Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

TheSenior DevOps Engineer will play a critical role in enhancing andautomating the infrastructure and development processes within ourorganization. This individual will collaborate closely withdevelopment operations and security teams to streamline andoptimize our deployment pipelines ensuring robust scalable andsecure solutions. This position demands a balance of handsonexperience in system architecture cloud services andcoding.

Key Responsibilities

  • InfrastructureManagement:

    • Designimplement and manage scalable reliable and secure infrastructure oncloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
    • Develop andmaintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as TerraformCloudFormation or ARM templates.
    • Monitor andmaintain the health of production and developmentenvironments.

  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment(CI/CD):

    • Build andmaintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins GitLab CICircleCI or Azure DevOps.
    • Automate deploymentprocesses for applications and infrastructure.

  • Collaborationand Communication:

    • Workclosely with software development teams to understand theirrequirements and provide the necessary tools andinfrastructure.
    • Facilitate effectivecommunication between development operations and securityteams.

  • Security and Compliance:

    • Implement and enforce security best practicesacross all environments.
    • Ensure compliancewith relevant regulations and standards (e.g. GDPRHIPAA).

  • Monitoring and Performance:

    • Implement robust monitoring logging andalerting solutions using tools like Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack orSplunk.
    • Conduct regular performance tuning andoptimization of systems and applications.

  • Automation andScripting:

    • Write andmaintain scripts for automation of various tasks (e.g. deploymentconfiguration management) using languages like Python Bash orPowerShell.

  • Incident Management:

    • Lead incident response troubleshoot issues andperform root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.
Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or arelated field or equivalent experience.

  • Experience:

    • 5 years of experience in a DevOps or similarrole.
    • Proven experience with cloud platforms(AWS Azure GCP).
    • Strong background inLinux/Unix administration.
    • Extensiveexperience with containerization and orchestration tools (DockerKubernetes).

  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python Bashor similar languages.
    • Deep understanding ofCI/CD tools and best practices.
    • Experiencewith infrastructure as code tools (TerraformCloudFormation).
    • Strong knowledge of networkprotocols security and performance optimization.
    • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention todetail.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamicenvironment.
    • Team player with a proactiveattitude and a strong sense of ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g. AWSCertified DevOps Engineer Google Professional DevOpsEngineer).
  • Experience with serverlessarchitectures and microservices.
  • Knowledge ofconfiguration management tools (Ansible Puppet Chef).
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies andpractices.
