The post holder will be registered with the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology for CPD and carry out the requirements of the College. The Trust will fund the post holder’s CPD to an agreed maximum currently £400.00 per annum. The successful applicant will be expected participate in research and to contribute to the Research & Development programme in London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. It is anticipated that links with Hammersmith and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital will strengthen. There is an opportunity to work closely with the well renowned QCCH.

Education & Qualifications

Essential criteria

MRCOG or equivalent CCT ATSM in Advanced Labour Practice Full GMC registered Medical Practitioner Benign Gynaecology ATSM

Desirable criteria

Another higher qualification e.g. MD, PhD, MRCS or equivalent Qualification in Medical education BSCCP Hysteroscopy Acute Gynaecology Advanced scanning

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria

Competence in education and training of specialist registrars National guidelines for Maternity services IT/Computer literate Car driver Experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates and junior medical staff Evidence of audit preparation undertaking and presentation Interest in Participating in research Understanding or research and critical appraisal Experience in Outpatient Hysteroscopy Evidence of audit preparation undertaking and presentation

Desirable criteria

Knowledge of SBL care bundle Organisational experience Ability to implement and develop research projects Evidence of having carried out research and submitted for publication
