We are looking for an energetic, confident and dynamic individual to join our Event Management team at the NEC. The Event Management team is right at the heart of our varied portfolio of exhibitions and live events.

You will be the lynchpin in the NEC’s operation, co-ordinating and managing all the elements the NEC needs to deliver and open our events safely and on time. You will be responsible for delivering our clients requirements successfully both pre tenancy and whilst on site. This includes event IT, rigging, cleaning, catering, traffic and security. With that level of responsibility, attention to detail, an ability to make quick decisions and a calm attitude is absolutely essential.

As the main operational point of contact with the client, the ability to build outstanding working relationships is pivotal to the role. It will be important for you to manage client expectations whilst demonstrating exceptional customer focus and delivering the best “customer experience”.

As well as your own portfolio of exhibitions and live events, there will also need to be the willingness and flexibility to assist with other Event Management team administrative tasks and projects when required.

Reporting to the Senior Event Manager who will see you through your induction programme and ongoing long-term training and development, you will need to be an excellent communicator, confident individual and committed with the ability to create and deliver solutions.

Previous experience in an exhibition or live events role is essential for this post as you will be required to hit the ground running. Please do not apply unless you are of degree calibre and have a minimum of 2yrs relevant experience and an IOSH qualification. A NEBOSH General Certificate and NEBOSH Fire Certificate would be preferred.
