As a result, a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-E’s integrated teams.

As a Technical Governance Coordination Lead, you will oversee and drive the technical decision-making process, ensuring compliance with HPC project organisation. In this role you will be participating in the arbitration and prioritisation of technical topics, coordinating stakeholders for consensus, and supporting teams in preparing materials for technical committees.

Pay, benefits and culture

Alongside a salary from £60,000 to £70,000, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include a range of benefits, from the big and formal to the small and personal.

We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans .

At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone's working needs are different. That’s why we support you to pursue a career that’s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead and manage the technical decision-making process, ensuring it aligns with the HPC project organisation. This involves participating in the arbitration and prioritisation of technical issues and coordinating with stakeholders to secure buy-in and consensus.

You’ll assist teams in preparing presentations for technical committees by organising logistics, collecting and sharing documents, and providing content guidance. Additionally, you’ll organise weekly forums, such as the NIAM (Nuclear Island Architect Meeting), to facilitate multi-disciplinary discussions and resolve complex issues, chaired by the Edvance HPC Technical Director.

You’ll ensure that decisions are documented and tracked properly and in a timely manner. You’ll also recommend and implement improvements to existing working practices and coordinate or lead technical topics based on project requirements.

Who you are

Being a Technical Governance Coordination Lead at EDF means holding a relevant degree or equivalent qualification, with substantial experience in engineering, leadership, or project management. You should have extensive knowledge of EPR design and engineering processes, along with a solid grasp of UK laws, regulations, and nuclear industry best practices.

You’ll need to excel in understanding complex technical topics and providing clear summaries, as well as demonstrate experience in cross-functional technical coordination. Proven success in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with various stakeholders and upholding the highest standards of safety and quality is essential.

We’re seeking someone with a strong track record of managing projects and adhering to industry standards, coupled with a capability to establish and achieve safety and quality benchmarks in a highly regulated environment.

If this sounds like you then we’d love to hear from you

Closing date for applications: 30th September 2024
