Responsibilities:

  • Spearheadthe Music Department providing visionary leadership anddirection
  • Oversee the development andimplementation of a rigorous and engaging Music curriculum acrossall key stages
  • Cultivate a vibrant andstimulating learning environment where students are encouraged toexplore their musical talents
  • Inspire andmentor a talented team of Music Teachers fostering a culture ofcollaboration and professionalexcellence
  • Supervise and manage the departmentsresources ensuring the effective allocation of funds andequipment
  • Nurture a thriving extracurricularmusic program offering opportunities for students to participate inperformances workshops andcompetitions
  • Champion the integration of Musicinto the broader school curriculum fostering crossdisciplinarylearning
  • Establish and maintain strongrelationships with parents and guardians keeping them informedabout their childrens musical progress
  • Advocatefor the importance of Music education within the school communityand the wider educationallandscape

Qualificationsand Experience:

  • AMusicrelated degree or equivalentqualification
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) orequivalent
  • Extensive experience teaching Musicacross KS3 KS4 and KS5 levels
  • Proven trackrecord of excellence in leadership andmanagement
  • A deep understanding of the latestadvancements in Music education
  • An unwaveringcommitment to fostering a love of Music in allstudents
  • Exceptional communication andinterpersonal skills
